The Brooklyn Nets have made a last minute injury report update, ruling Nicolas Claxton out vs. the Chicago Bulls with right hamstring tightness. He will join sharpshooting guard Seth Curry on the injured list.

This is Brooklyn's first game since trading Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns in a move that shocked the NBA world, and it will be interesting to see how the players respond. Young guard Cam Thomas has been on an incredible run, scoring at least 40 points in each of his last three games. He will certainly be featured much more as the Nets transition from the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving era into this new normal.

Nicolas Claxton, who as previously mentioned is a late scratch, has also been a revelation for Brooklyn this season. The young center is in the midst of a breakout campaign, making a real bid for All-Defensive honors, as well as some DPOY buzz. He has been a fantastic defensive anchor for the Nets, who will now rely on him even more with their two stars gone.

It will be very interesting to see how the Nets approach the rest of the season, because while they still sit firmly in the playoff picture, their current roster projects to fall down the standings rather quickly. That said, they still do have some solid pieces, and could very well hang onto a playoff spot.
