Nets and winners aren't accustomed to being used in the same sentence. So when new majority own Josepth Tsai took to Twitter to profess his love and belief in the organization, it raised many eyebrows.

Short, sweet, and to the point. Tsai, co-founder of Allibaba, knows a good investment when he sees one. While he bought a minority stake of the Nets from Mikhail Prokhorov a few years, the billionaire typhoon doubled down on his desire to maintain control of the team.

As Nets fans have watched the franchise transform from one of the league's laughing stocks to a formiddable title contender with Kevin Durant back healthy and on the court, Tsai gave a tip of the cap to his head coach and general manager.

Nets fans are accusttomed to empty promises from ownership. When Prokhorov took over the team nine years ago he urged that the team would win a championship within five years. Long story short, the Nets came nowhere near a title, and Prokhorov didn't even come through on his promise to get married. What else can you expect from a Russian oligarch who amassed his fortune in the diamond mining.

So while many Nets fans will take Tsai's comments with a grain of salt, it's worth noting that he has complete belief in his players, coaches and general manager, and that can go a long way in the NBA.
