In his introductory press conference with the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant got emotional when speaking about the Brooklyn Nets.

"It was a lot of ups and downs," Durant said. "But I loved the grind. Everybody in Brooklyn loved the grind, too. So I built a family over there. They're always gonna be a part of my journey. We didn't accomplish what we wanted to accomplish as far as winning a championship, just like I told him, but I enjoyed the grind. Everybody there, we tried our hardest every day, regardless of what was going on in the media, what was going on with our teammates, everybody who was in that gym, we grinded."

Starting to get emotional, Durant said, "So I love those guys, I get emotional talking about it, because that was a special four years of my career. Coming off an achilles, they helped me through a lot, so I don't have anything - It was terrible how some stuff went down, but at the end of the day I love the grind. And we all love the grind there in Brooklyn and I wish them the best going forward. They have a bright future."

While it didn't end how many hoped it would in Brooklyn, Durant made basketball exciting for Nets fans, and there will always be mutual love and respect between the two sides.
