In just his third game with the Brooklyn Nets since being traded from the Phoenix Suns, Mikal Bridges went off for 45 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks on an incredible 70.8% from the field. With his big night, Bridges became just the 6th player in NBA history to post that stat line or better. The only other players in NBA history to post a line of least 45/8/5/2/2 on at least 70% from the field are LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, James Harden, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Bob McAdoo.

Bridges also became just the second player in Nets history to tally at least 45 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists with multiple steals, joining Kevin Durant as the only other Nets player to achieve that line. It was truly a Durant-like performance from Bridges, who was traded for the superstar forward just last week.

Nets fans have a lot of reasons to be excited about their new core, and may have unlocked something special with Bridges as a primary scoring option. There are not many players in the league who are capable of the line Bridges posted tonight, and Durant is the only other player in franchise history who has had similar performances.

Most importantly for the Nets, is that they were able to secure a win in this game. Still holding onto playoff aspirations, Brooklyn needs as many wins as they can get, especially against Eastern Conference opponents.
