Just acquired from the Phoenix Suns in a blockbuster trade that was centered around Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges showed on Wednesday night why so many are excited about his future in Brooklyn. Going off for a career-high 45 points, Bridges became just the 6th player in NBA history with a line of least 45/8/5/2/2 on at least 70% from the field.

When asked after the game about his career night, Bridges said, "Just being aggressive. My teammates found me. They trusted me, my coaches trusted me, just getting stops and getting out in transition and just feeling it. My teammates looked out for me, so it wouldn't have been possible without them."

When asked about the Nets finding their new identity, Bridges said, "Just playing together, man. All 48 minutes, five guys especially on the defensive end, I think we can be a force down there. And then once we get stops, all of us can play in transition. So I think just starting on the defensive end and then getting out and scoring."

Finally, Bridges was asked about the Nets crowd, saying, "It's dope, man. I was saying in the locker room I want to get a win so I can enjoy this little week. So I appreciate you guys, man. It wouldn't be possible without y'all."
