The Brooklyn Bridges remains strong in the new fan voting returns for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

As the NBA released the second fan voting result for the upcoming All-Star Game in Indianapolis, Mikal Bridges is still on the run at the Top-10 leaderboard. The Brooklyn Nets star gained the 10th highest votes amongst East's front-court players with 297,394 votes.

Mikal drops steps in his All-Star bid

Considering the first fan voting returns, it has been a significant demotion for Mikal in the Top-10 voting. In the previous result, which was released last Thursday, he was slotted at the seventh spot with 203,009 fan votes.

It was indeed an interesting dip. Across the past three games, Mikal was on fire with 28.3 points average to go with 6.0 boards and 2.3 assists. The individual numbers are strong, but the Nets’ ongoing record downslide could have impacted Bridges’ All-Star impression amongst fans.

Mikal still has plenty of time to bounce back

The fan voting returns for the NBA All-Star Game are released every Thursday until the Jan. 20 cutoff. From this, Mikal still has plenty of chances left to regain a much higher standing in the East frontcourt’s voting leaderboard.

The Nets are about to play two matches until next Thursday, at home against the Miami Heat on Monday while on the road by facing the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. These can be springboards for Bridges to take a huge leap and secure the attention of fans.

Mikal, 27, is averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 boards, and 3.6 dimes for 38 games of play so far this 2023-24 season. The Nets star is vying for his first career All-Star nod.
