It's just 20 days before the Christmas celebration hits the clock, and the Brooklyn Nets will feel thankful again for their current season so far.

Amid injuries and inconsistencies, the Nets are glad that they're still on the run with a 10-9 record that lands them the Eastern Conference's ninth seed.

As such, on behalf of the ball club, Nic Claxton is already doing it all to express his gratitude and share his blessings outside of the game.

As the majority of the teams are currently enjoying a long break in place of the NBA’s In-Season Cup quarterfinal round, Clax fulfilled his off-court duties and went on to provide smiles and gifts amongst children in this season of giving.

Nic formed a tandem with former Nets star Albert King as they strolled for holiday shopping and treated several kids from P.S. 297 and The Brooklyn Green School.

Both Claxton and King had a good time sharing their blessings with the delighted boys and girls who enjoyed grabbing toys and filling their baskets with the 2023 holidays now in the air.

The Brooklyn Nets remain one of the most interesting and competing teams around the league due to Claxton’s brilliance, potential and defensive pedigree.

The 24-year-old center cemented his case as one of the early candidates to win this season's Defensive Player of the Year as he is averaging 2.6 blocks per game – the fourth-highest in the association. He is also averaging 12.7 points on a career-best 67.9 percent shooting from the field.

Should he manage to raise his numbers while also becoming healthy as well, Claxton has a great shot of securing that lucrative contract he's been targeting after this season. For now, he remains focused on anchoring the Nets’ interior and providing rim service to the team's two-way presence.
