It was reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that free agent Justin Holiday has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets. It has been a wild few days of free agency for Denver, as they quickly lost Bruce Brown, Thomas Bryant, and Jeff Green, but they now make an addition with the signing of Holiday.

Holiday spent last season with the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, appearing in 46 games between those two teams, averaging 4.5 points per game in 15.3 minutes per contest. It was a down year for Holiday, who was coming off consecutive seasons averaging double figures in scoring.

At 34 years old, Holiday is an NBA journeyman, having spent time with Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and now the Denver Nuggets. Holiday is the brother of Jrue Holiday and Aaron Holiday.

Having not been featured much in the rotation last season, Holiday will likely not be a major contributor on the court for the defending champion Nuggets. This may not be the only veteran who looks to join Denver, especially players like Holiday who have been on several different teams but have not experienced many deep playoffs runs.

In his 10-year career, Holiday has only appeared in 9 playoff games; however, five of those came with the Golden State Warriors in 2015, which resulted in him becoming an NBA champion.
