BREAKING: NBA Champion Arrested on Shocking Assault Charges
It was revealed today by Mariah Medina from NBC's News 4 San Antonio that NBA Champion and former Denver Nugget Bryn Forbes has been arrested on a 3rd-degree felony charge of assault strangulation/choking of a family member.
The details of the case are quite jarring and don't paint Bryn Forbes in a good light at all. Forbes reportedly attacked the mother of his two children before choking her. He allegedly told her, "If you can speak then you are not being choked” when she told Forbes that she couldn’t breathe. She also stated that he immediately punched her in the head, put his forearms across her neck, pulled her shirt over her head, and choked her with her shirt collar.
Forbes' bond has been set at $7500 according to records. He was also arrested on February 15, 2023, for a different family violence charge that was dismissed in June of 2023.
It seems like this has been a repeated offense for Bryn Forbes and he's already been given multiple chances to rectify the situation and has chosen not to. At this point, one would have to hope the law really brings this unfortunate situation to justice.
Bryn Forbes was a champion with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2020-21 NBA season where he averaged 10.0 points on 47/45/77 shooting. He then joined the Denver Nuggets the following season where he averaged 8.6 points a game on 42/41/92 shooting.
