Bruce Brown's Free Agency Meetings Revealed
Denver Nuggets free agent Bruce Brown is expected to have significant interest around the league, and according to a recent report from Ian Begley of SNY, the versatile guard will be meeting with the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Indiana Pacers early in free agency.
While these are the teams Brown is expected to meet with early in free agency, it does not mean that these are the only teams he will meet with. It seems likely that Brown would give a meeting to the Nuggets even despite their limited financial flexibility, and there could also be other teams that emerge as suitors as the free agency period goes on.
If Brown does not return to Denver, he will still be remembered fondly by that fanbase. Helping bring the Nuggets their first championship in franchise history, Brown earned the opportunity to maximize his pay day in free agency, especially after not being heavily sought after last summer.
Brown's market is expected to be at least the full mid-level exception, with other teams potentially offering more with their available cap space. A team like the Rockets could offer Brown more than the MLE, but they of course will not be contending next season, which would likely factor into his free agency decision.
Expected to meet with several teams, Brown's free agency will be one to watch.
