After their dominant championship run, the Denver Nuggets have been the favorites all summer to repeat as NBA Champions in 2024. These odds immediately changed after the Milwaukee Bucks traded for Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. According to BetOnline.ag, the Bucks are now championship favorites, bumping Denver down to second place:

While Denver may still have the best all-around team in the NBA, along with the best player in the NBA, it's hard to argue against a duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard being championship favorites. As history has shown, a dominant team on paper does not always directly translate to the court, but this duo of Antetokounmpo and Lillard will almost certainly be a dominant one.

The Nuggets are of course not worried about what the betting odds say or who believes in them. This is a team that silenced all of the doubters last season, and will look to silence the few remaining doubters again next season. Putting together one of the most dominant runs in recent history, Jokic and the Nuggets are ready for whoever is in their way next season.

While there is a full season and postseason to be played before this would come to fruition, a potential Bucks vs. Nuggets NBA Finals series would be incredibly exciting between Antetokounmpo, Jokic, Lillard, and Murray.
