Denver Nuggets Announce Two New Signings

The Denver Nuggets have signed two new players to training camp deals

On Tuesday evening, the Denver Nuggets announced two new training camp contracts with Armaan Franklin and Andrew Funk. The team issued a press release that announced the signings, and also gave details on the two players who will join camp with the defending champions.

On Franklin, Denver's press release read the following:

"Franklin, 6-4, 195, appeared in 121 career collegiate games (95 starts) for Indiana and Virginia, averaging 9.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 25.6 minutes. As a senior for the University of Virginia he averaged 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Second Team. Franklin went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft and most recently played two games for the Nuggets at Las Vegas Summer League, posting 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.1 minutes."

The team also included a statement on Funk, which read the following:

"Funk, 6-5, 188, played four years collegiately at Bucknell University before playing a fifth and final year at Penn State University in 2022-23. As a senior at Penn State he was named All-Big Ten Honorable mention by both coaches and media after appearing in 37 games (all starts) and averaging 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists on .412 shooting from beyond the arc. Funk went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft and also most recently played for the Nuggets Las Vegas Summer League entry, averaging 5.3 points, 1.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 11.1 minutes in four contests."

Both players will have an opportunity to showcase their abilities in training camp.
