It was announced last month that NBA legend Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero would be launching the "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast with Wave Sports + Entertainment. In a teaser for the first episode that dropped on Tuesday, it was announced that this podcast will begin on Thursday, December 7th.

The NBA media space has changed drastically over the last few years, with several current and former players launching their own podcasts and talk shows. These shows range from current and former players having basketball discussions and analyzing the game, to those same players revealing untold stories from their time in the league.

There seems to be a real market for content like this, as fans enjoy hearing directly from players themselves about their unique experiences. For a player like Carmelo Anthony, there should be a lot to talk about. A Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks legend, Anthony played his best NBA years with those two franchises, but also spent time with the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers.

One of the best scorers in NBA history, Anthony is a legend of the game, and should certainly have a solid audience tuning into his new show. Wave Sports + Entertainment also has Paul George's Podcast P show, which has been a major hit in a short amount of time.
