Denver Nuggets Release Three Prospective Players
The Denver Nuggets have officially announced that they've waived three players from their summer league roster - Amida Brimah, Au'Diese Toney, and Jamorko Pickett.
Amida Brimah is a 29-year-old center from Ghana who previously played for the Indiana Pacers in 2021. He also made stops with the Austin Spurs, Partizan, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Mets de Guaynabo, Oostende, and JL Bourg. In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in five games with the Indiana Pacers.
Au'Diese Toney is a 23-year-old shooting guard from Alabama who has only played with the Lakeland Magic and Denver Nuggets. Throughout his college career, Tony averaged 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists on 45/30/71 shooting.
Jamorko Pickett is a 25-year-old forward from Washington D.C. who previously played for the Detroit Pistons in 2021. He also played for the Motor City Cruise and Cleveland Charge before joining the Denver Nuggets in the 2023-24 season. Pickett averaged 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds during the 2021-22 season with the Detroit Pistons. Throughout his college career, Pickett averaged 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists with Georgetown.
Realistically, it seems tough for any of these three players to crack a spot in the Nuggets main roster rotation. If anything, they may have a chance with their Grand Rapids G-League affiliate. Hopefully, one of the three can make a standout appearance there.
