Denver Nuggets Reportedly Interested in Trade With Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors acquired Bruce Brown from the Indiana Pacers as part of the Pascal Siakam trade, and are widely expected to flip Brown to a contender. During a recent episode of the #thisleague Uncut podcast, NBA insiders Marc Stein and Chris Haynes reported that the Denver Nuggets would love to have Brown back.
"I was told that the Denver Nuggets would love to have Bruce Brown back, but again, they're in a similar situation like Milwaukee, where they just don’t have the picks to try to do that," Haynes said. "But Bruce Brown knows how they feel, from what I've been told. That’s something to keep an eye on even down the road."
Stein added that he has heard the same thing, but says it's hard to see a pathway to a trade with Denver's current collections of assets. While there is no real pathway for the Nuggets to acquire Brown, it's something they are reportedly interested in if the possibility presents itself.
Brown was a huge piece to Denver's championship run, and was a major loss for the Nuggets in free agency. Both sides would have loved to extend their time together, but Brown earned a contract outside of Denver's price range, which landed him in Indiana. Now on the market again, Brown is reportedly on Denver's radar - even despite the unlikely nature of a deal being possible.
