Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray has never made an All-Star team, but he is every bit of a star in the NBA. Elevating his game every postseason, Murray has proven himself on the biggest stage. Doing so again last season, Murray took his game to even greater heights to help Denver bring home their first NBA championship.

With so many dominant guards in the NBA, breaking through as an All-Star or All-NBA player at that position is very hard to do. That said, if Murray makes an All-NBA team, the Nuggets are prepared to offer him the supermax contract extension he would come eligible for.

"We’re anticipating that we’re probably paying him the supermax,” Nuggets GM Calvin Booth told Mark Medina of Sportskeeda. “He’ll probably make All-NBA. It’s going to be a hit to our salary cap, but I love seeing people reach their potential when they play the way he can."

Already prepared to offer Murray the supermax, the Nuggets know it will be a difficult financial hit, but one that is very worth it. The perfect co-star for Nikola Jokic, Murray has proven the ability to be a very high-level second option on a championship team. This makes him somebody the Nuggets have to keep around, and it sounds like they're going to no matter what the price tag ends up being.
