The Denver Nuggets have not experienced any championship hangover this season. While some expected Denver to come out slow to start the year, since they had just won a championship and also lost some key players, that has not been the case.

Currently sitting just one game back of the first seed in the Western Conference, Denver is not getting complacent. After suffering a bad loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, the Nuggets answered with a great bounce back win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. revealed his team was extra motivated to avenge their last loss, especially with it being on national television:

One of the marks of a great team is the ability to bounce back, and Denver has shown that this season. There have been some uncharacteristic nights from this team, but the Nuggets have almost always found a way to get right back in the win column, especially when they have their full collection of star players available.

Looking to reclaim their spot atop the Western Conference, Denver continues to apply pressure to both the OKC Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves. The LA Clippers are also in pursuit of the top seed, so Denver will have to hold them off as well if they want to be in first place.
