Details of Michael Malone's New Contract Revealed

Michael Malone's new contract is well deserved.

While Michael Malone's new contract hasn't been officially reported by the Denver Nuggets, it's been reported by both Adrian Wojnarowski and Mike Singer.

Wojnarowski revealed that Malone's contract extension would make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the NBA. Mike Singer revealed Malone's extension is for two years, in addition to the two years he already had left. His new contract would take him through the 2026-27 NBA season.

The exact numbers of Michael Malone's new contract have not been revealed, but what matters is knowing that it's going to be high and how long he's going to be with the Nuggets. Denver Nuggets fans can breathe a major sigh of relief knowing that they'll likely have Michael Malone, Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray all the way through the 2026-27 NBA season.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about Michael Malone's tenure with the Denver Nuggets, besides the obvious championship, is just how resilient he's been. It felt like fans were calling for his head when the team was down 3-1 against the LA Clippers in the 2020 bubble. From that moment on, he proved he was one of the most elite coaches in the NBA and gained the respect of fans around the world.

If there's one coach in the NBA who has earned his money, it's Nuggets coach Michael Malone.
