During a recent episode of All The Smoke, former New York Knicks star Tyson Chandler was asked who the best player in the NBA is right now. His answer: Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

"Right now, after the Finals, Jokic played the best," Chandler said. "Jokic was the best this year. So I gotta go with Jokic."

It feels like the first time in a while that the best in the world conversation was this unanimous. After what Jokic did last postseason, there are few who refuse to name him the best basketball player in the world. Becoming the first player in NBA history to lead an entire playoff run in points, rebounds, and assists, Jokic proved he can do it all on the game's biggest stage.

Even after back-to-back MVP awards, Jokic still had to endure criticism and doubters. Having yet to reach the NBA Finals prior to last season, Jokic was often criticized for his game not translating to a playoff setting. This criticism always made little sense, because while Jokic did not reach the Finals prior to last season, many of Denver's playoff runs were derailed by injuries. Finally having a fully healthy run, the Nuggets proved they're a force.

Currently sitting atop the NBA, Jokic and the Nuggets will look to dominate the league again next season.
