Reportedly meeting with the Golden State Warriors about the possibility of earning one of their final roster spots, NBA legend Dwight Howard could be nearing an NBA return. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, former NBA star Eddie Johnson said Howard has proven the ability to bother Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

"I've had conversations with Dwight Howard when he was over in Taiwan," Johnson said. "And I kept telling him, I was like, 'Man, I just don't understand why you're not in the league'... But I told him, I said, 'Man, you're going to be back in the league.' I said, 'For one reason, nobody can deal with Jokic, but you can. You've proven that you can bother Jokic.' And I said, 'For that reason, somebody's going to give you a chance."'

While it's highly unlikely the Warriors are looking at Howard as a potential Jokic stopper, an extra big body for a series with the Nuggets could be useful. Draymond Green and Kevon Looney get most of Golden State's center minutes, and those two have been without any real insurance behind them the last two seasons. Bringing in a player like Howard could help with that, even if he isn't a Jokic stopper.

While Howard may not be a Jokic stopper, he could still help a lot of teams.
