During a recent episode of the Knuckleheads Podcast, former Denver Nuggets guard Jameer Nelson spoke about reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic.

"What you saw in practice is way better than what you see in games," Nelson said of Jokic. "The stuff he would do in practice, playing pick up and all that stuff, we were like this is wild. And it's all to win. It was never - I tell people the dude can average 35 if he wants. He doesn't care if he's the best player... He just wants to play basketball and have fun, and most importantly he wants other people to succeed. And that shows in his game, it shows in that organization."

It seems every former and current teammate of Jokic shares something similar. Dominant enough to average way more points per game than he does, Jokic is not interested in his individual production, but rather the overall success of his team. While there are times when Jokic needs to score, he is always unselfish and looking for his teammates.

This was a really cool story from Nelson, who had an opportunity to see Jokic up close, and play alongside him. As Nelson mentioned, not only does Jokic's approach to basketball show up in his game, but it shows throughout Denver's entire organization. This is something not many players can have said about them.
