The Denver Nuggets defeated the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, and they were aided by a poor shooting night from Steph Curry. Struggling with his shot, Curry was unable to get much going offensively, which put the Warriors in a tough spot up against Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Despite Curry's struggles, Murray had a lot of high praise for the Warriors star after this game, saying, "I used to watch Steph when he was [young] in my hometown, and my dad said I could be just like him. Every time I see him I want to bring that energy. I know it's not just him, but he brings the best out of you. He brings it out of you."

Murray is known for his ability to rise to the occasion, and a matchup with Curry and the Warriors is one of those moments he lives for. The greatest point guard of this generation, and arguably the greatest of all-time, Curry will always get the best shot from his opponent, and Murray embodies that.

This is certainly a sign of respect from Murray, but also a strong statement for the Nuggets guard to make. Not shying away from the question, Murray was honest when asked why he has success against the Warriors, saying Curry brings the best out of him every time they play.
