Jayson Tatum Reacts to Guarding Nikola Jokic
The Boston Celtics may have the best record in the NBA, but even they weren't capable of holding down Nikola Jokic. As such, they couldn't do anything but tip their hat to the current NBA Finals MVP.
After the Nuggets defeated the Celtics on Friday, Jayson Tatum was asked about his experience guarding the two-time NBA MVP.
"He has great touch, great feel for the game," Tatum said. "Obviously, can score with the best of them, can pass with the best of them. Just presents a lot of challenges."
One Celtics player who couldn't stop raving about Jokic was Kristaps Porzingis - who even called Jokic the best player in the world.
"As I said before, he's the best player in the world," Porzingis said. "He's just so crafty, he almost makes you fall asleep like he's not doing anything, and then he slides by you. He has so many tricks and so many things he can do. Can make so many tough shots, that are not really tough for him, because he's been making them for a long time. You have to live with them. He makes these off-the-right-foot jumpers. That's why he is who he is."
If Friday showed anything between the potential finals matchup between the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, it's that it would be an incredibly fun series. The Celtics will have a truly difficult time trying to stop Nikola Jokic in the NBA Finals.
