The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets are facing off in an NBA Finals rematch on Wednesday night, and Jimmy Butler is being listed on the injury report. The Heat are listing Butler as probable with an illness, meaning he is expected to play.

This is a big game for both teams, as Denver enters this matchup in a tie with the Oklahoma City Thunder for first place in the Western Conference, and Miami enters this matchup one game back of the 6th seed Indiana Pacers.

Miami seems to regularly hover near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, but they are also always somewhat of a sleeping giant down there. Last season was a perfect example of this, as Miami went from the 8th seed to the NBA Finals where they were ultimately eliminated by Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.

A run like the one Miami had a year ago is very improbable, and not something the Heat want to force themselves to have to pull off again, but they know they are capable of some big time upsets. That said, Miami wants to optimize their seeding as much as possible, which of course includes avoiding the play-in tournament.

For Denver, they have been trying to run down that first seed, and now sit in a tie with OKC atop the Western Conference standings.
