Despite coughing up a 22-point lead and allowing overtime, the Phoenix Suns regrouped in the extra period to defeat the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. Kevin Durant came alive in the overtime period, and finished with 35 points.

Speaking with Chris Haynes of NBA on TNT after the game, Durant made an honest statement about his team's struggles in the fourth quarter, saying, "I think we missed like 10 or 11-straight shots. I know I missed 10-straight shots myself, but all of them felt great leaving our hands. That's the name of the game, you just stick with it. Overtime we was able to get stops, rebound, and get easy shots on the other end."

On Denver's defense against him, Durant said, "Just play my game and not worry about the defenders. They're gonna get good contests here and there, they're gonna play hard and strong, but I feel like I got wherever I wanted. I feel like I could have made at least 10 more shots, but there were a lot of shots that were in and out."

Durant added that the Suns are a resilient group, being able to come into Denver and snap their two-game losing streak without Devin Booker. This was a big win for Phoenix, and a tough loss for Denver, as both teams are in seeding battles right now.
