Lakers Player Gets Honest About Denver Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers were swept by the Denver Nuggets in last season's Western Conference Finals, but they have made some nice moves this offseason that they help can close the gap between them and the defending champions. One of their new signings is former Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent, who saw Denver in the NBA Finals.
Speaking with JJ Redick on The Old Man and The Three podcast, Vincent was asked about the Denver matchup, and got honest about what makes them so difficult:
"I think we have to give credit to Aaron Gordon," Vincent said. "I don't think we can talk about the Denver Nuggets without mentioning him. Just his efficiency and the way he plays, his size, his strength. He really is to me, the only real four left in the game... He can stretch the floor a bit, it's not his greatest strength, but he does it enough to keep you honest. His size and physicality I think really hurt us."
Gordon is one of the most underrated players in the league, and is certainly underrated on a Nuggets team that has Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. While he may not get the national recognition he deserves, Gordon and his game are respected around the league, and that was shared by Gabe Vincent who saw it first-hand on the NBA's biggest stage.
