Lakers Reportedly Interested in Trading for Denver Nuggets Champion
After being traded to the Toronto Raptors in the Pascal Siakam deal, versatile guard Bruce Brown is one of the hottest names on the trade market. It was recently reported by Chris Haynes on the #thisleague Uncut podcast that the Denver Nuggets would love a reunion with Brown, but it's unlikely due to Denver's lack of assets.
"I was told that the Denver Nuggets would love to have Bruce Brown back, but again, they're in a similar situation like Milwaukee, where they just don’t have the picks to try to do that," Haynes said. "But Bruce Brown knows how they feel, from what I've been told. That’s something to keep an eye on even down the road."
In an additional report from Shams Charania of The Athletic and FanDuel TV, the Los Angeles Lakers were named as a team with interest in Brown.
"The Lakers, I’m told, are continuing to monitor two players," Charania said. "I think the two guys at the forefront of their targets list going into the trade deadline - Dejounte Murray of Atlanta, and Bruce Brown Jr. of Toronto. Those are two guys I think they will continue to monitor. I expect those conversations to continue as the next week, week and a half, two weeks go on."
Charania added the Lakers only have so many players they can deal, which complicates things, but they are indeed interested in Brown.
