The Charlotte Hornets have released their injury report for Monday night's game against the Denver Nuggets, and star guard LaMelo Ball has again been ruled out with a right ankle sprain. Ball has missed the last 15 games, and is getting closer to a return, but that will not come in this game against the Nuggets.

The Hornets are a very bad team, especially without Ball, currently sitting at 7-23 on the season. Having lost 10-straight games, the Hornets are certainly a team the Nuggets should take care of in this one.

Denver enters this game 8-2 over their last 10, but they did drop their last game to the OKC Thunder in blowout fashion. This game against Charlotte is a good opportunity to get back on track for the defending champions.

Denver's schedule is a bit easier over their next several games than it was during this most recent stretch, set to face the Hornets, Warriors, Magic, Pistons, and Jazz before the schedule gets a bit more difficult again. That said, Denver knows they need to focus on themselves rather than their opponents.

Looking to chase down the Thunder and Timberwolves in the Western Conference standings, while also holding off the Clippers, Kings, and other teams in pursuit of their spot, the Nuggets needs to continue stacking wins as the new year begins.
