The Denver Nuggets are a problem that the Los Angeles Lakers just can't seem to solve. Dating back to last year's playoffs, the Nuggets have won six straight games against the Lakers.

LeBron James was asked after the Lakers' opening night loss if it bothers him that LA hasn't found a solution to Denver, and he gave a very honest answer - the Lakers just need to play better against the Nuggets.

"Nah, I mean, we gotta be better obviously when we play them," LeBron James said. "We had our chances in the Western Conference Finals, but that's over and done with. Tonight was the only thing that was on our minds. We didn't make enough plays offensively or defensively for long periods of time to close the game or to win. Give credit where credit is due to them."

When it came to tonight specifically, the Lakers lost solely from transition points and second-chance points, a fact that LeBron James knew himself. It was also how the Lakers lost to Denver in the playoffs, too.

"What we gotta iron out is transition," LeBron James said. "We gave up 20 in transition, and we gave up 17 second-chance points. That's what killed us last year in the Western Conference Finals. I thought we did a good job of not turning the ball over as much, we only had 12 turnovers. We turned over and allowed them to score, we had 20 points off of turnovers."

When it comes to both LA teams, the Denver Nuggets just seem to dominate them both. Until proven otherwise, the Western Conference still runs through the defending NBA Champions, the Denver Nuggets.
