The NBA trade deadline came and went on Thursday, and the Los Angeles Lakers did not make a major move like some were expecting. Looking towards the offseason when they will have more flexibility in deals, the Lakers opted to stay put, pushing forward with their current roster.

When asked about this after Thursday night's loss to the Denver Nuggets, and how his team can now improve internally, Lakers star LeBron James said, "Just health. Max [Christie] went down today and didn't return to the game. So our whole year has been about health."

As James alluded to, the Lakers have had several rotation players in and out of the lineup this season, which has made it difficult to find any consistency. That said, both James and Anthony Davis have been much more available this season than in previous years, which gives the Lakers a chance in each game they play.

This Nuggets vs. Lakers game felt very similar to the four they played in last year's Western Conference Finals, with the game being close, but Denver executing better down the stretch to come out with a win. Behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, the Nuggets know how to win games like this, and showed that again on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

For James and the Lakers, they are hoping for good health going forward after a quiet trade deadline.
