The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night by a final score of 114-106. There was an interesting LeBron James play in this game that has been heavily debated online, with fans going back and forth on whether or not James intentionally deflected a pass to Anthony Davis. Settling the debate himself, James shared this post that has been going viral:

The video James responded to shows several redirection passes like the one he claims was intentional to Davis. While some still disagree, believing James missed the ball and was fortunate it deflected to Davis, James himself says it was an intentional pass.

This play aside, the Lakers were not good enough to beat the Nuggets in this one, as Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray executed better down the stretch than anyone on LA's side. This was the story in the Western Conference Finals as well, with the Nuggets finding a way to win four close games to sweep the Lakers.

Denver is certainly not a team the Lakers want to see early in the playoffs, but that's the case for almost every team in the Western Conference. Denver is the defending champions for a reason, and project to be a matchup nightmare fr the rest of the league.

As for the Lakers, they are just trying to secure a playoff spot.
