The Dallas Mavericks could have Luka Doncic vs. the Denver Nuggets

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is currently dealing with some hamstring soreness, but a recent update from Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed some good news.

Speaking on FanDuel's Run It Back show, Charania said, "Good news for the Mavericks, the MRI was clean on that hamstring, it's not believed to be a serious injury... They have that showdown against the Nuggets on Sunday, there's obviously hope internally with the Mavericks that Luka Doncic will be fine for that game."

The Mavericks picked up a big win over the Golden State Warriors to create some separation in the standings there, but they sit just two games above the Los Angeles Lakers, who are trying to climb out of the bottom of the play-in tournament bracket.

The Mavericks would also like to climb up the standings if possible, with the Phoenix Suns just a half-game above them. This game against the Nuggets is a big one for Dallas, as every game between now and the end of the regular season could determine where they finish in the standings.

For Denver, they are trying to strengthen their hold on the first seed, having recently reclaimed their spot atop the Western Conference. This game against Dallas could come with Doncic back in the mix, which would be great for fans, and of course great for the Mavericks.
