NBA Admits Big Missed Calls in Clippers vs. Nuggets Game
The LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets went down to the wire on Tuesday night, with Denver pulling out the win to remain unbeaten at home. The NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for this game, and it includes two big missed calls in the final minute of the game.
The first missed call came on a long two point shot from Paul George with 45 seconds remaining that the NBA admits George was fouled on. The Clippers star was visibly upset with the no-call, and was correct, which the NBA now admits.
While this certainly was a big miss at the time, George and Clippers were the beneficiaries of another missed call not long after this. Following a steal by Kawhi Leonard with 20 seconds left in the game, George finished a layup to cut the lead to just one point, but the NBA says he traveled prior to finishing the shot.
This was a two point basket for George, so with these being the only two missed calls on the Last Two Minute Report, they essentially cancel each other out. That said, they were both big misses at the time, even if they ultimately did not directly impact the final score.
With the loss, the Clippers fell to 3-7 overall, and 0-6 since the James Harden trade became official.
