NBA Admits Missed Call in Toronto Raptors vs. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets completed a 22-point comeback to defeat the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, and the NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for this game. According to the NBA, there was only one missed call in the final two minutes of this exciting matchup, and it came with 1:58 remaining when Raptors forward Kelly Olynyk should have been called for an offensive three second violation.
While the Raptors got a clean look at a three on this play, they ultimately did not score, which made the missed call inconsequential. The rest of the Last Two Minute Report included no missed calls, making this missed three offensive second violation the only incorrect ruling in the final two minutes.
This was a very solid win for Denver, who got another historic night from Nikola Jokic. Trying to chase down the first seed, Denver has continued to apply pressure on the OKC Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves, and recently passed Minnesota by a half-game in the standings.
The Nuggets currently sit a half-game back of OKC for the top spot in the Western Conference, and have to like their chances at running that spot down. The favorites most places to come out of the West, Denver continues to prove that they are the team to beat. This impressive comeback win over Toronto was another example of that.
