The Denver Nuggets lost an unexpected nail-biter to the Houston Rockets last night, but it turns out the Nuggets actually had a good amount of help from the referees.

According to the NBA's Last Two Minute Report, the Denver Nuggets actually benefited from three different calls in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. The first occurred at the 1:06 mark when Christian Braun wasn't called for a shooting foul against Jalen Green. The second occurred at the :42 mark when Reggie Jackson was not called for a shooting foul against Alperen Sengun. The final missed call occurred at the :40 mark when Reggie Jackson should have been whistled for a shooting foul call against Fred VanVleet.

Overall, that's three opportunities for a pair of free throws that the Houston Rockets should have been given against the Denver Nuggets. If Houston had lost the game on Sunday night, that team would have been rightfully slamming the referees.

Despite having some help from the referees and a historic game from Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets lost to the Houston Rockets by three points last night. It was a firm reminder that while Denver is good without Jamal Murray, they're definitely not unstoppable. Everyone on the team still needs to contribute, not just Nikola Jokic, against the opposition.

Up next for the Denver Nuggets is an LA Clippers team that is struggling tremendously.
