NBA Admits Missed Calls in Nuggets vs. Timberwolves
The NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for Tuesday night's game between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves, and it includes two missed calls down the stretch.
The first missed call came with just under two minutes remaining when Monte Morris should have been called for a personal foul against Jamal Murray. The impact of this missed call was interesting, because while the Nuggets were technically the disadvantaged team, Nikola Jokic ended up hitting a three on this play, which made it work out for them. Had the whistle been appropriately blown, it would have been sideline out of bounds for Denver.
The second and final missed call on the Last Two Minute Report came with 45 seconds remaining when Kyle Anderson should have been called for a defensive three second violation. Similar to the first missed call, Jokic scored on this play, which essentially made in inconsequential.
This was an exciting game between two Western Conference contenders who could certainly see each other in the postseason. Denver was able to hold off a shorthanded Minnesota team in this one to secure a big victory.
Despite the two missed calls down the stretch that technically disadvantaged Denver, the Nuggets were able to score on those possessions, and secure what was a big time win on the road over a team they are battling for positioning with.
