Recently appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, NBA legend Jerry West spoke about Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

"He's just amazing," West said. "He really is... He's just one of those players that if you watch him play, he'll score 10 points, and he'll have 15 or 20 rebounds, 12 assists, but you have to watch him carefully around the basket and some of the shots that he makes... He's got the greatest pair of hands of any inside player."

West also compared Jokic to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, speaking about the impact both players can have on their teammates.

"He is like LeBron James," West added. "The brilliance of him as a player, but more importantly his mind, his mind makes everyone better. These things rub off on your teammates... These kind of players are rarities, and that's why they're so highly coveted."

West is one of the most respected basketball players and basketball minds ever. His opinion is highly valued around the league, as the LA Clippers consultant has spent time in multiple front office positions since his playing days. Very impressed with what he has seen from Jokic, West believes his ability to elevate his teammates is similar to LeBron James, who has always been one of the game's great facilitators and decision makers on the court.
