In the first episode of his "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast with Wave Sports + Entertainment, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony spoke on the key to LeBron James' greatness and longevity.

"The difference between [LeBron] and everybody else is the discipline," Anthony said. "... It ain’t just the strength, [it’s the] discipline of the psyche to know what I can play with what team and what player. What I can do with this team. Discipline comes with the mentality, discipline comes with the physical part of it. Discipline comes in all shapes and forms. And with him, he's been doing it for so long. Right, so for somebody to say ‘I’m gonna follow that blueprint.' How long are you willing to follow that blueprint? Five years? Two years? You got it in you to follow this sh-t for two decades? Nah."

Very close friends with James, Anthony came into the league with him in 2003 as the third overall pick of the Denver Nuggets. James of course went first overall in that draft to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Recognizing that James isn't different just because of his strength and overall basketball ability, Anthony has seen the work up close that the Los Angeles Lakers star puts into his game and his body every single day. This is what makes James who he is, and Anthony spoke on that in this episode.
