NBA Legend Takes Unexpected Shot at Nikola Jokic
For one reason or another, Dwight Howard refuses to simply just give Nikola Jokic his respect. When Jokic hit a miraculous gamewinner against the Golden State Warriors, it should have been met with universal praise - not from Howard.
"Joker not hitting that shot on Superman 😂 good shot though," Howard said on Twitter.
This isn't the first time Dwight Howard has said something backhanded about Nikola Jokic. He's already previously stated that a prime Dwight Howard is better than a prime Nikola Jokic.
“Obviously, people going to say Jokić can score. He got all those offensive skills. But at the same time, I was getting 38 [points] and 20 [rebounds], 45-18, 19, 20, and I’m doing all this with twos,” Howard said. “No threes, all twos. I’m doing this with lobs. I’m not getting a lot of post-up attempts like Jokić."
It's a strange one-sided beef between Dwight Howard and Nikola Jokic. One where Howard can't seem to stop giving backhanded compliments to Nikola Jokic, and where Jokic himself doesn't repond at all. It seems more like Howard is poking the bear so often to keep himself relevant in the eyes of the NBA. Which is a shame, because Dwight Howard is one of the greatest NBA players and easily a top-three center in the last 20 years.
Regardless, Nikola Jokic doesn't need to respond and just needs to keep winning.
