The Denver Nuggets are facing the LA Clippers on Wednesday, and star point guard Jamal Murray participated in parts of Tuesday's practice, leaving open the possibility of a return for this upcoming matchup in Los Angeles.

Murray recently returned from a hamstring injury absence, but tweaked his ankle in that game, which was a frustrating setback after fully rehabbing the hamstring. While Murray was understandably upset to have another injury pop up, this one doesn't seem to be too serious, and this latest development is a very positive one.

It doesn't sound like the Nuggets did much in practice on Tuesday, which is understandable the day before a game, but it's still very encouraging that Murray was able to participate in different parts of practice. It seems likely that the Nuggets star will be listed as questionable for this game vs. the Clippers, and make a final decision on his playing status after going through his pregame routine.

As much as the Nuggets want Murray back, and as much as they need him, the team will continue being cautious with their star point guard. Denver knows that Murray's longterm health is more important than having him available for a few extra games in December, so they will make sure he is entirely ready for a return before clearing him to play after this ankle injury.
