NFL Legend Blasts Nuggets, Defends LeBron James
During a recent appearance on FS1's Undisputed, NFL legend Richard Sherman blasted Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, saying, "Michael Malone has had one successful season. Michael Malone has had one successful season... LeBron James could really give a you-know-what about what Michael Malone is doing."
Sherman added, "Michael Malone will be a irrelevant, erroneous name in the history books of the NBA. He'll be a guy who wins one championship, maybe two at the greatest, and then he'll be forgotten about, as most people are, as people will forget about this Denver Nuggets championship team. They will not forget about LeBron James."
This is an interesting comment from Sherman, because Malone hasn't had much to say about LeBron James or the Los Angeles Lakers since shortly after the championship. While there was some trash talk, which was fueled by some of the unnecessary attention the Lakers were receiving amid Denver's special run, that was all in the moment. Now several months removed from that, Malone has made it clear he isn't worried about anyone else at this point.
As for Sherman's comments about the Nuggets and Malone being irrelevant, there's a real chance this is not their final championship. The favorites most places to win the West, Denver will be firmly back in contention again next season after winning it all just a few months ago.
