With another triple-double on Monday night, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic overtook LeBron James and Jason Kidd for the 4th-most triple-doubles in NBA history. Now trailing only Russell Westbrook, Oscar Robertson, and Magic Johnson, Jokic stands alone in 4th place on this major list.

The best passing center in NBA history, Jokic is able to tally triple-doubles in a way nobody at his position ever has. While there have been capable passers out of the center position, Jokic is the first to be a primary facilitator at this elite of a level, which has allowed him to put up incredible numbers while dominating the game in so many ways.

Continuing to ascend up historic lists, Jokic remains concerned with one thing, and that is winning. The Nuggets have done this better than anybody in the Western Conference to start the season, sitting at 7-1 through their first eight games. Not experiencing any championship hangover so far, Jokic and the Nuggets look determined to defend their first title in franchise history with another one this year. With Jokic playing at this level, Denver will always be in the mix.

As he keeps tallying triple-doubles, Jokic will close in on Magic Johnson, who currently sits 30 ahead of him. Catching Magic this season would be incredible, but not impossible the way Jokic is playing.
