In a game that could certainly be an NBA Finals preview, it was Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets who got the better of Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. Finishing with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, Jokic recorded his 30th career 30-point triple-double, becoming just the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark.

This was a huge win for the Nuggets, who quickly bounced back from their overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns. Both Denver and Boston entered this game following a close loss, and it is the Celtics who will add one more tally to their loss column.

Boston has essentially secured the top spot in the Eastern Conference, having entered this game eight games above the second seed Milwaukee Bucks, but Denver needs every win they can get as they try to run down the first seed themselves.

The defending champions for a reason, the Nuggets showed in this game just how dominant they are. For Jokic, this was just another night at the office, as he did exactly what he has been doing the last few seasons.

While this win was of course important for Denver in the standings, it was also a statement win for the defending champions. While some feel the Celtics are ready to challenge Denver for a championship, the Nuggets made a statement with this game that they are still the team to beat.
