The NBA preseason is often an opportunity for the league to play in front of fans who don't have NBA basketball in their city. While this often happens in the United States, the NBA has also sent teams outside of the United States in recent years, and it always seems to be a major success.

Recently asked about the idea of a preseason game in his hometown of Serbia, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic shared his reaction to the possibility, saying, "I think that would be great. I think there is a lot of Nuggets fans in Serbia and people who love basketball. I think it would be a good show."

While this is of course simply an idea being floated around during this media availability session, and not something the NBA has suggested is in the works, perhaps a co-sign from the reigning Finals MVP could be what pushes the league to consider this. There are a lot of NBA fans in Serbia, and many of them are Nuggets fans because of Jokic, so it would be great to give them an opportunity to see their favorite team in person for what would be the only time ever for so many of them.

NBA preseason is often overlooked, but ideas like this are one way to add some intrigue to these exhibition matchups.
