Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was uncharacteristically bad from the field on Monday afternoon, making four of his 12 field goal attempts. Despite this, Jokic was still able to finish with 26 points due to a perfect 18/18 from the free throw line.

These 18 made free throws were tied for the most in Nuggets history without a miss. Danilo Gallinari previously went 18/18 in 2016 against the Bulls, and Danny Schayes did the same in 1988 against the Rockets.

Not looking exclusively at Nuggets history, this perfect day from the stripe for Jokic set an NBA Christmas record as well. Prior to this game from Jokic, the most made free throws on Christmas without a miss came in 2004 when Kobe Bryant went a perfect 13/13 against the Miami Heat. Oscar Robertson also had two Christmas games where he went 13/13 from the line.

Jokic's 18/18 day from the line is also the most made free throws without a miss in a game this season, passing Damian Lillard and Joel Embiid, who both have games of 17/17 from the stripe this season. As the numbers show, this was a very unique game from Jokic, as his ability to draw fouls and convert at the line helped overcome a rare off night from the field.

The Nuggets defeated the Golden State Warriors in this game to win their 5th straight.
