Nikola Jokic Stars in Viral Commercials For Major Brand
Nikola Jokic may not be the most recognizable name in the NBA today, but he's still the best player in the world. He might not be in every commercial, but he's finally starting to get some of his own to star in.
Nuggets players Nikola Jokic and Peyton Watson starred in two commercials for the brand Hotels.com that are starting to catch waves today.
With how much Nikola Jokic likes horses, it seemed to be a given to include some horses in the commercial. In all honesty, Jokic could very easily do well in some comedic commercials the same way as Boban Marjanovic. He has a very lighthearted personality, that just happens to be amazing at basketball as well. There were even outtakes for the commercial that showed more of Nikola Jokic's comedic timing.
While it may seem like starring in a commercial isn't a big deal, it's a big deal for Denver Nuggets fans. Many NBA critics typically belittle playing for a smaller market like Denver because of the lack of opportunity. Seeing Jokic thrive like this, win MVPs, win a championship, and star in a mainstream commercial, shows that narrative isn't true. There's always a way to dispel the narratives of being in a small market - the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic have been doing it one season at a time.
