Nikola Jokic's Injury Status for Nuggets vs Thunder Revealed
The Denver Nuggets face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a heavyweight battle where the best players should all be available - including Nikola Jokic.
Nikola Jokic has officially been listed as available tonight for the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In 29 career games, Nikola Jokic has averaged 21.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists against the Thunder. Even though Jokic has struggled for a portion of December, his monthly averages have still been terrific for the team. In the month of December, Jokic is averaging 22.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 10.0 assists on 48/26/74 shooting. His three-point numbers and free-throw numbers have been significantly lower than normal, but that just makes things much scarier when he starts going back to his averages. On the season, he's still averaging 27.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 9.4 assists on 54/30/78 shooting.
The Nuggets are currently only half a game away from the Oklahoma City Thunder, and 2.5 games away from the first-seeded from the Minnesota Timberwolves. If they win tonight, then they'll stay in the second seed, but if they lose, they'll drop to the third seed.
So far, the Oklahoma City Thunder have a 1-0 series lead against the Denver Nuggets. The last time they faced off, Oklahoma beat Denver by over 30 points - it's a situation Denver does not want to happen again.
The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder face off at 9:00 p.m. EST tonight.
