Nikola Jokic's Status for Nuggets vs Timberwolves Revealed
Whenever the Denver Nuggets face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves, it becomes an epic battle of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray vs Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. It's a battle between one-two punches, and both one-two punches will be available tonight.
The Denver Nuggets have officially listed Nikola Jokic as available tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Even though some questioned the conditioning of the Denver Nuggets after a championship summer, Nikola Jokic has not missed a single game of the regular season yet. The same can't be said for many other All-Star players around the league. In four games this season, Jokic is averaging 26.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks on 65/43/67 shooting.
While Jokic's free throw percentage has been a little questionable early on, he's still putting up best player in the world numbers. As soon as his free percentage returns to its average, he'll nearly be in the 50/40/90 club as a center that's nearly averaging triple-doubles. Offensively, there's just nothing anyone can do to guard Nikola Jokic - that includes amazing defenders like Anthony Davis and Jaren Jackson Jr.
In 30 games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Nikola Jokic has averaged 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. After a gritty playoff series last season, it's going to be interesting how Karl-Anthony Towns and the Wolves adjust around Jokic tonight.
The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves tipoff tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST.
