The Denver Nuggets are set to play their last game before their Christmas Day showdown against the Golden State Warriors, and it will come on Saturday night vs. the Charlotte Hornets. Both teams have released their injury reports for this game, and star center Nikola Jokic is not listed, meaning he is good to go.

Jokic has been near the top of the MVP race all season, as his dominant play has been one of the major constants in the league for several seasons. While the Nuggets have dealt with some injury issues this season, most notably with Jamal Murray, Jokic has remained durable.

Denver has a chance to win any game Jokic plays in, and this one against Charlotte is certainly one they should get. Charlotte is one of the bottom tier teams in the league, currently sitting at 7-19 on the year. The Nuggets are of course on the other end of this spectrum as one of the best teams in the league, currently sitting at 20-10.

Just 2.5 games back of the first place Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets are looking to overtake the top spot in the Western Conference sooner rather than later. This is where they feel they belong, and while Minnesota has been fantastic this season, Denver has the pedigree of being one of the top teams in the league.
