The Denver Nuggets defeated the Boston Celtics on Thursday night, taking down the NBA's top team in what many believe could be an NBA Finals preview. Nikola Jokic was dominant again, finishing with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Following the game, Jokic shared a strong statement on the Celtics, saying, "They have basically answers for everything. Matchup-wise, defense-wise, offense-wise. They are a really well-built team, and they’re playing really good. That’s why they’re the best team in the NBA right now. It’s really hard to play against a team who, they’re long, tall, they defend really good. They have really smart players, it’s a great team."

Despite being 2-0 against the Celtics this season, Jokic has a lot of respect for how good they are. Entering this game eight games above the second seed Milwaukee Bucks, the Celtics are not in a seeding battle the way Denver is, but they still want to assert themselves against the better teams in the league - and in this case, a potential NBA Finals matchup.

The Celtics were one win away from seeing Denver in last year's NBA Finals, but were unable to complete the 3-0 comeback vs. the Miami Heat. While Denver seems to have the edge on Boston right now, Jokic knows how good the Celtics are, and why they have the best record in basketball.
